Most Neons have two oxygen sensors, one in the exaust manifold directly after the engine, the second is farther along the exaust system after the catalyatic converter. The first oxygen sensor is for the PCM to determine if the engine is running too rich or too lean, the second is primiarly used in order to ensure the catalyatic converter is working correctly.
