genreally there are 6-8 oz in a cup ------ 20 ounces or oz. is a unit of weight. a cup of water is volume. you would have to associate the two. So here we go, 128 fl oz. = 32 cups = 8 pints = 4 qts.= 1 gal. and 16 oz. = 1 Lb. Since 1 gal. of water weighs about 8 Lbs. Then 1 fl oz. of water would weigh about 1 oz. and, then you could figure out the rest. :)

Drinking glasses come in several sizes.

In most cases when someone says you are supposed to drink 6 glasses of water a day, they are talking about an 8 ounce glass. One cup equals 8 ounces. So 6 glasses would be 6 cups, which is 3 pints or 1.5 quarts.

*Most glasses in a home are larger than 8 ounces, typically 10, 12, or 16 ounces.
