I think that a journal entry is in the format of an essay, so I would say at least five paragraphs...but actually, i honestly don't think it matters, as long as you get the point across...hope this helps!

Enough. An abstract of a scientific journal paper is usually one paragraph. It may, rarely, be technically two (or even three) paragraphs, but the additional "paragraphs" are usually limited to a single sentence each.

It depends what you are talking about. Normally articles have about 4 - 5 paragraphs. Like i said it depends on what your talking about. It also matters on how much your writing and what your teacher says.
