People who are afraid of snakes may be afraid because snakes do not blink and their eyes stay open all the time. Also because of how they slither and move around. But one of the most common reasons is because many snakes are dangerous and people are afraid to get bitten.
Yes, but it takes years of being bitten over and over again. After being bitten so many times your body is able to fight of the poison. Who would want to do this? I have no clue but I've seen many shows were they get bitten by poisonous and who ever doesn't faint wins. weird huh? lol oh well.
When a person is bitten by a venomous snake the venom is processed as an antidote. Milking venomous snakes of all species is a big business and it is surprising how many people do this as a profession.
20,000 people.
More then 2000 people
Many people feel that New Orleans is haunted.
Many brides and railways were swept away, rice crops were ruined, many people were drowned, drinking dirty water has brought about many diseases, many people were made homeless, many people have been bitten by poisonous snakes, many bridges over the river ganges have been washed away.i dunno what else!
Rattlesnakes are unlike many other venomous snakes in that they give a very noticeable warning when provoked, which lets people know to avoid them. A snake without a rattle is potentially more dangerous because a person might not notice it before being bitten.
Yes! Snakes are not invertebrates, contrary to what many people think.
This is an unknown factor because many venomous bites are not reported and almost all nonvenomous bites (unless by large constrictors) go unreported as well.about maybe 500 people get bitten by a snake each...........and only 12 out of 500 die
98 people died and 1072 were bitten
If you mean bites by venomous snakes, in the United States there are 7000-8000 bites per year on average with about 5 fatalities. Many other countries do not have such statistics because many of the bitten people die without medical attention and their deaths not recorded.
