What is cheer camp?
I am on the cheer and dance team at my school. I've been to both camps. Cheer camp is where advanced cheerleaders or college-aged cheerleaders help you improve on skills such as toe touches, pikes, tumbling skills, etc. Usually your cheer team competes against other team with a cheer routine in hopes to win. At night, they give away a spirit stick to the most spirited team. You play a lot of fun games and bond with your team and other cheerleaders. It's a lot of fun, but VERY hard work. You will probably get frustrated and maybe even shed a few tears. You'll be VERY sore and TIRED. But it truly is a amazing and unforgettable experience.(:
How much does cheer cost?
It depends. I cheer on the west coast in california. My high school team in around $3,000. If you do high school cheer competition team it's $4,000 altogether. I also do an all-stars team, which is club cheer. The OC All-Stars costs $4,000. In our school, it costs 1200 (that's what i heard) and we have to do: cheer camp, uniforms, gym every week and stuff.... it's sad and i think it goes higher in high school (im in junior high)... (:... i was glad i didn't try out cuz of the cost and im a guy soo ya... freakin stereotypes... ): now im jealous all of my friends are in cheer... ):
How many people are usually in a dance team?
It depends on the team. Middle School teams usually have like 10-20 people. High School teams usually have like 15-25 people. College teams have about 30 people. Same w/ pros. Hope this helps!
