There are bad years, and not so bad years. Prior to the 7-Feb-2009 fires, the worst fires were - Black Friday, 13-Jan-1939 claimed 71 lives. Ash Wednesday, 16-Feb-1983 claimed 72 lives. The 7-Feb-2009 fires have claimed 210 lives to date, and this is expected to increase as search parties comb the burnt out areas. Sometimes, it is not just the fires themselves which claim lives. In the 2009 bushfires, many people died in horrific multi-vehicle accidents because the smoke and ash reduced visibility to almost nil.
It really isn't known exactly how many stings occur in a year, or how many people get stung by bees or bitten by wasps. This is only because people do not go to the hospital when stung or bitten by wasps unless they have an allergic reaction. Therefore it is pretty much impossible to know how many people get stung a year.
Over a period of more than 90 years, since 1918, there have been an estimated 55 deaths from tornadoes in Australia.

A wasps stinger does not come off when it stings. Unlike honey bees, which have barbed stingers that stick and they die.
Bees and wasps do have a similar appearance. Bees are rounder, wasps are leaner. Wasps are covered in a smooth almost shiny exoskeleton. Bees on the other hand are covered in a layer of fuzz, this has to do with the feeding mechanism as wasps are predominantly carnivorous while bees feed on nectar.
No the stinger is not left in the skin from Wasps or Hornets. They just sting you and pull it out. Only Honey Bees leave a stinger in you. My family are beekeepers so I have been stung by many bees but since honey bees die when they loose their stinger they don't sting unless they feel threatened.
Yes ants and bees evolved from wasps.
As a beekeeper I occasionally get stung by a bee and although they are initially painful I find that the effects of nettle stings last longer. Wasp stings are worse than both and although I haven't personally had a hornet sting, I have heard from those that have that they are the worst.
Common wasps can still deliver painful stings to people but unlike bees, wasp can sting several times.
Wasps, Hornets, Bubble Bees, and mainly all bees, try not to get stung at all!
If bees feel frightened of you/other people, then they will string you. There are probs loads of people getting stung by bees every day.
Bees are NOT harmless, and Africanized bees can be very aggressive. Wasp stings are more painful, but either one can cause anaphylactic shock and death to the allergic or severely stung.
No they are not. Bees and Wasps are two separate species.
Wasps ARE faster than bees.
Bees do indeed die once they have stung you. Hornets & Wasps do not die. They are free to sting you repeatedly. Remember they have no malice towards anyone or anything. They only sting when they feel threatened.

No. Bees have barbed stingers so when you get stung, it sticks in your skin. But wasps do not have barbed stingers, that is why they can sting repeatedly. When the wasps leaves your body, it takes its stinger with.
they die after they got stung
Yes, they are. They are even venomous before they sting.
