Many people do not like them, because of the damage they cause. They can destroy your insulation in your home causing you electricity bill to go up. They can chew on electrical wiring and cause problems from your car not starting to a fire in your home. When they die, they stink, when the urinate and defecate, they stink, and they do it where the live. While they can make good pets, the can carry diseases and parasite's. They probably have their place, but more education is needed, to teach people about keeping their area clear of leftover food substances.
