The cursed opal necklace, often referred to in folklore and tales, is said to bring misfortune or death to its wearers. While specific stories vary, it's commonly believed that several individuals have suffered tragic fates after donning the necklace. However, these accounts are largely anecdotal and part of myth rather than documented historical events. As a result, there is no definitive number of deaths attributed to the cursed opal necklace.

some people say that the Hope Diamond is cursed

Because it is said that St. Christopher was the "bearer of the annointed one" and helped him across the river...It helps people feel safe to have someone close to your heart and by wearing the necklace they feel comfort.
Most sources are in consensus that a movie version of Harry Potter and the Curse Child will not be made into a movie, due to the story being made specifically for the stage (and many people complaining about the problematic storyline). However, it is being premiered (as a play) in Broadway, spring of 2018.
