A better sounding answer in in Matawan, Virginia websites that say she died in the great blizzard in 1888 along the Eastern seaboard Mar 11-14 of that year when 400 people died. She is buried in Pikeville, Kentucky where they say she died in the blizzard. However, her grave marker says died 1889.
