There were approximately 25,000 American soldiers that died in the American Revolution. The British lost around 20,000 soldiers during the war.
At the time of the American Revolutionary War, the United States did not exist, so there were no US Servicemen to serve or die in that war. The people who fought to establish American independence from Great Britain were the soldiers of the Continental Army (who became in time professional soldiers) and the members of the various colonial (later State) militias. 8,000 people died in combat, 17,000 died to other cause, and the total is 25,000 deaths ( i am not sure if this is American, or TOTAL)
