This has been a very controversial debate between many intelligent scholars for many years, most of these scholars argue that the Harry Potter movies and books are in fact based on real people and events. There is however a minority of people who do not agree with these wise opinions and say that Harry and his friends are non-existent in real life and that the events are fictional, however these people are largely outspoken and most people believe that Harry Potter is real.
