Just over 80% of the worlds men have a penis that is intact. Those that are circumcised are to a large degree done as a religious or cultural observance. There is a large number of circumcisions done in English speaking country's Especially the USA for supposedly preventative health reasons.

Why are people either for or against circumcision?
There are always 2 sides to everything: The overriding thing that must be remembered here is that most of the people who have their foreskin removed had it done while they were infants or children and had no choice in the procedure. So they did not have it done for their own reason but as a result of an assault a simple fact which is conveniently overlooked in many developed countrys. 1. Many people have circumcisions for religious reasons, like Islam and Judaism 2. Many people have circumcisions for aesthetics - some foreskins are NASTY 3. Many people have circumcisions to prevent foreskin problems 4. Many people have circumcisions for easier personal hygiene 5. Many people have circumcisions for easier personal sanitation 6. Many people have circumcisions because of the medical benefits. 7. Many people have circumcisions due to medical necessity during their lifetime. Against: 1. Many people leave the foreskin intact because it is natural looking, more sensitive, and better for sex 2.
