About 1/3rd of American households own at least one firearm
The number of people murdered by guns in the USA (11,493) is 1/40 of that by cigarettes.
No one record. Several million persons.
The "better" question would be "how many murders, rapes, and robberies are prevented by home guns ?"
Over five hundred billion
Your question is to vague. Do you mean in the world? The US? North America, South America, Central America, Europe? Not as many as have died in traffic accidents.
1.000.000.000.000.000 people have diad cause of guns
Because we are a free nation and have rights. Many people use the guns for protection, hunting for food, killing snakes or other animals in and around their homes. Guns are not bad. Stupid people who don't know how to use a gun, or bad people who want to harm others with guns, or dumb people that allow children access to guns are the real problems.
As of 2007 over 2,500 people have home dialysis machines at home.
Recent studies in America have shown that about 11,583 people are murdered each year because of criminals with guns. About 18,783 people kill themselves with guns each year. More people die from drowning and from car accidents than gun violence each year.
It's not about the guns! It's the people who use the guns.
None. Murders are committed by people, not by guns.
10,086 of 14,831 people were killed with firearms in 2007. http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/cius2007/offenses/expanded_information/data/shrtable_07.html
