Why doesn't Jacob like Edward?
Jacob doesn't like Edward for 3 reasons: 1. Jacob doesn't like Edward because Jacob likes and eventually loves Bella, and Edward has Bella's heart and she has his so they're Soul Mates, and Jacob can't change that. 2. Jacob doesn't like Edward because Bella wants to get turned into a vampire and Jacob believes that this is because Edward wants her to become one. 3. Jacob doesn't like Edward because Jacob's ancestor caught the Cullens' hunting animals on Quileute land. So they started a treaty whereby the wolves would not kill the vampires (due to their choice not to hunt humans) as long as they never bit a human again. The treaty also forbid the Cullens from entering onto Quileute land. The Quileutes also believe that vampires are evil. This is due to events occurring many decades before where a vampire and his mate rampaged through their land, attacking and killing as they went.
