a ton... they're a pretty popular band... at least in the crowd I'm in which may alter my view but they are epic either way.
The band has never discussed the television show Doctor Who in the media, so this is currently unknown.
If you like Three Days Grace, you might like Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, Hoobastank, or Drowning Pool.
He's totally afraid of dying, and that's probably why he's not known across seas that well. He doesn't like to fly or go overseas on a boat. He wants to live. The band name, "Breaking Benjamin," came from one of his smaller performances. After performing, Benjamin knocked over the mic stand or something, and the owner said something like, "Thanks for breaking my mike, Benjamin.". Just go to www wikipedia.org and check out that band. You could probably click on his name and it'll give you a good description.

There is an American band called Red that have a similar sound to Breaking Benjamin. Incidentally, the lead singer of Red co-wrote several songs on Dear Agony, Breaking Benjamins latest release. As for Story of the Year, they have been comapred to acts like Forever the Sickest Kids.

Formed in 1998 by vocalist Benjamin Burnley and drummer Jeremy Hummel, Breaking Benjamin quickly garnered a strong local following in their home state of Pennsylvania. The band derived their name from an incident when Burnley was covering a Nirvana song during an open mic night at a club. He kicked the microphone stand over, breaking it. The person who owned the microphone came on stage and said, "I'd like to thank Benjamin for breaking my *crazy* microphone." In 1999 the band changed its name shortly to Plan 9 then in late 2001, after various line-up changes, the band changed its name back to "Breaking Benjamin" and two friends of Burnley, Aaron Fink and Mark Klepaski, left their previous band, Lifer, and joined the ranks of Breaking Benjamin as guitarist and bassist, respectively. According to the band, the Breaking Benjamin logo is a variation of the Celtic knot, with four interlocking "B"s. The logo is tattooed on the left wrist of Ben Burnley, Aaron Fink, and Mark James Klepaski, and the right wrist of Chad Szeliga. The band is currently signed to Hollywood records on a five record deal, having released three so far. They achieved their first number 1 single in 2007 with the track "Breath" off their third album Phobia.
Prior to becoming a band, Benjamin Burnley performed as a solo act. Once, he knocked over and cracked a borrowed microphone. The owner of this microphone came onto the stage and said "I'd like to thank Benjamin for breaking my f**king microphone." See 'related links' for more information.
That is their style of music. According to the band, rather than the poppy happy stuff in life, like flowers, trees, and birds, they'd rather sing about the 'dark' stuff in life.
No, Breaking Benjamin has not split up- they are currently on hiatus. The lead singer, Benjamin Burnley, is taking time off due to health issues. Below is the official message posted on Breaking Benjamin's Facebook account addressing this: Hey everyone, Benjamin here. I am officially letting everyone know that Breaking Benjamin has NOT broken up! This is just a false rumor that, through the miracle of modern technology, has unfortunately spread. I am currently taking some time off from touring to further address some health issues that I have been dealing with for some years now which has been posted previously on the shallow bay website and expressed in many recent interviews. I am performing two solo acoustic shows in July but this in no way means that I have left, or am ever going to leave, Breaking Benjamin. In closing I'd like to thank our incredible fans for their concern. The only thing that I ask, is for everyone to not believe any rumors you hear on the Internet especially when it does not come directly from the band. We hope that our fans know that we love them and are forever grateful of their continuing support. Much love, Benjamin Burnley
I believe the song you are talking about is "Diary of Jane" by Breaking Benjamin. It's a good song. :)
