Nobody directly. However, it was her influence that caused Macbeth to overcome his natural abhorrence of murder and embark on his career as a murderer.

Lady Macbeth is a fictional character in William Shakespeare's play "Macbeth". She does not physically kill anyone herself in the play, but she influences her husband to commit murder. Indirectly, her actions contribute to multiple deaths, including King Duncan, Banquo, Lady Macduff and her children.

Who dies in Macbeth?

Many people, both named and nameless, died in the Shakespearean play 'Macbeth'. In terms of the nameless, there were the unnamed soldiers who were killed during the opening act's battles between the armies of friends and fellow Generals Macbeth [c. 1014-August 15, 1057] and Banquo; and the armies of Macdonwald the rebellious Scotsman, King Sweno [c. 1016-1035] of Norway, and the treacherous Thane of Cawdor. There also were the unnamed soldiers who were killed during the closing act's battles between the armies of King Macbeth, and the armies under Siward, Earl of Northumberland and General of the English forces. And in between, there were the unnamed people of Scotland who suffered under 17 bleeding years of the Macbeths' tyrannical rule. In terms of the named, the first person to die was the rebellious Macdonwald, who was killed by Macbeth. The second was the disgraced, traitorous Thane of Cawdor. Third was King Duncan I [d. August 14, 1040], along with his two nameless royal guards. Fourth was Banquo. Fifth was Lady Macduff, along with all the unnamed members of her family and her household. Sixth was Lady Macbeth, who committed suicide by unspecified means. Seventh was Young Siward. And eighth was Macbeth.

Who kills king ducan Macbeth or Lady Macbeth?

She kills herself. After convincing Macbeth to kill so many people to get power, her guilt kicks in. This guilt is manifest when she walks in her sleep, talking of washing her hands of the blood, i.e. guilt. It eventually completely consumes her, and she commits suicide. In Act 5, Scene 1, a Doctor and Gentlewoman observe Lady Macbeth sleepwalking. After observing, the doctor advises the Gentlewoman to "Remove from her the means of all annoyance" (V i 78). He is telling her to keep away from Lady Macbeth anything she could use to kill herself. In Act 5, Scene 5, Macbeth hears a cry within of women, and it can be assumed that this is either Lady Macbeth or her attendants who have discovered her dead body. Seyton, a nobleman loyal to Macbeth, comes to him and says "The Queen, my lord, is dead." (V v 18).In the final speech of the play, in Act 5, Scene 8, Malcolm refers to Macbeth's "fiend-like Queen, who, as 'tis thought, by self and violent hands took off her life." (V iix 81-83). This means that it is believed by most people that Lady Macbeth commited suicide.

What people relate to Macbeth?

Many people relate to Macbeth's ambition, inner conflict, and the moral dilemmas he faces throughout the play. His tragic downfall due to unchecked ambition and the consequences of his actions resonate with those who have experienced similar struggles with power and morality. Additionally, Macbeth's relationship with Lady Macbeth and the themes of guilt and supernatural forces also strike a chord with many audiences.

How did Macbeth become king?

Macbeth became king after being persuaded by his wife, Lady Macbeth, to murder the original king of Scottland, Duncan. Once that was done, the thanes assumed Duncan's sons would be promoted to the throne, but they both ran away in fear they might be murdered as well. With that, Macbeth took advantage of his positioin by saying Malcom and Donalbain (Duncan's sons) killed Duncan so he could be king himself. It worked.

Whom did Macbeth kill in the battle with the English forces?

Hard to say exactly. He killed Duncan himself, so he doesn't count. He has Banquo killed. He has Lady Macduff killed. He has Macduff's children (unclear how many of these there are, but more than two anyway) and Servants (again unclear how many) killed. Do we want to count the soldiers who died fighting for him? Probably not.

Is Macbeth gay?

It isn't that simple. One might argue that the female characters in Macbeth drive the males to horrendous acts, as Lady Macbeth does with Macbeth. In addition, there are many references made to women as being weaker and gentler than men. However, these references are usually used to explore gender roles that society forces its inhabitants to adhere to, and many are used ironically. One example of this is when Macduff tells Lady Macbeth, "O gentle lady,/Tis not for you to hear what I can speak./The rpetition in a woman's ear/Would murder as it fell" (II.iii.96-99). Although Macduff believes the news of Duncan's murder is too violent a fact for a woman to be aware of, Lady Macbeth acted as accomplice to the murder. It can really be argued either way, although I believe the evidence is stronger that it is not a misogynistic play.

Why didn't Macbeth kill duncan?

Because Lady Macbeth doesn't have the courage to kill the king. Therefore, she left the work to Macbeth because Macbeth was a soldier and because he the courage by killing the king because he has killed many people in wars and battles.

How would lady Macbeth not have represented a stereotypical woman in Shakespearian times?

People nowadays have a stereotype of women in Shakespeare's time as being weak and submissive, which Lady Macbeth is assuredly not. However, so many of Shakespeare's female characters do not conform to this stereotype, that it suggests that the stereotype was not held necessarily by Shakespeare or his contemporaries.

How many people have played Macbeth?

Technically Macbeth only murdered Duncan in the begining and young siward at the end. Then he had the murderers go to kill Fleance and his father. Fleance escaped so he wouldn't count, and Macbeth also had the murders go to kill the Thane of Fife (macduff) and ends up only having the family killed. Macbeths wife in the end dies of what no one really knows but it can be argued that he was the cause of her death. He also slays young siward before macduff challenges him. So it really depends on how you look at it. If you want to know how many he killed with his own hands then 2.

Which event in Macbeth happens first?

Banquo is killed but his son, Fleance, escapes :)
