roughly 4.5 million people work in the animal testing industry
how much is spent on animal testing a year
because for the most part the animals are going thru a biochemical warfare. they are being tested against there will. a lot of people think that it is cruel, which to a degree is, but would you want them testing on humans?
How much does the animal weigh?
none none
It cost 12 Billion dolllars
It takes too much time and effort to check each transaction.
Animal testing has changed a lot in the past centuries. When Galen disected pigs and goats in the 3rd and 4th century b.c. greek was called vivisection. Animal testing is pretty much the same thing except without disection.
never test animals like that you could kill the animal or harm the animal really bad!!
To be sure whatever they're testing is safe for human use, or application. Much medicinal testing, psychological research and much more has been done on animals, to avoid possible human injury, or lethality; at the animal's expense. However; animal testing has gone in to a steep decline in this modern era, due to animal rights movements.
Pretty much anywhere that needs products or compounds tested. Universities have animal testing for a variety of purposes, to evaluate the effect of nutritional and behaviorial protocols, along with potential drug testing. Also universities have animal-testing to develop genetic modification protocols. Corporations also conduct animal testing. Drug companies have to prove that their drugs are safe on animals before the FDA will allow them to test the drugs on humans. Cosmetics companies also have labs to test the amount of irritation and toxicity of their products. Pet food companies also conduct testing to determine the best formulas for animal food products. While cosmetics companies have come under fire for the amount of suffering inflicted on animals for the testing of products which seem to have minimal health risks or benefits to people, remember that the majority of animal testing puts animals in no more pain and suffering than if they were raised for food. Laboratory animals are typically euthanized at the end of their productive lifespans, usually by carbon dioxide gas or injection, much as you would put down a pet.
I'm trying to find out too. I just hope its not too much :(
NO!!!! all animal testing and is wrong! We all must stop using products that have been tested on animals. Just stop animal testing. use natural producst. Ask someone at stores where you buy your stuff were the natural/products not tested on animals! Medicine is slightly acceptable but cosmetic testing is down right wrong.
