There are different sizes of CDs:
120 mm (5 inches) : 650MB/74 minutes or 700MB/80 minutes
80 mm (3 inches) : 185MB/21 minutes
60 mm (2.5 inches) : 50MB/9 minutes
This will vary depending on the quality of the photo. A standard CD-R will hold around 700

A CD-R is recordable (one time) while a CD-RW is rewritable (multiple times). In some cases it is possible to write to a portion of the CD-R and later write to an unwritten part of the CD-R (multi-session). No part of the CD-R can be written to more than once. CD-R
Cd-r and Cd+r are really about the same. It stands for Compact Disk-Recordable. The only major difference between the two is that Cd-r is more universal than Cd+r, so it can be played in more devices.

CD+r means write once, read many. This means that you can only write data to the CD once, after that it will be on there forever and you can always get to it.
A CD-R can only be written on once, to rewrite or erase old data to use the disc again you need a CD-RW
