31 counting all types of Carriers in the Imperial Japanese Navy.
However 4 were never completed. 1 was never commisioned. 1 was a training ship, and 2 were BBV's Battleship/Carrier Hybrids which only carried 14 Dive bombers and 8 Seaplanes each.
BTW the U.S.A. had an astounding 97 counting Carriers of all types. Not counting 38 escort carriers which were given to England as Lend Lease aid. Which would bring the total to 135.
Below are the details of the various carriers including when and where they were sunk.

Japan had 25 carriers in total though they varied widely in size.
The answer is dependent on how large the aircraft carrier was and which country built it. The MAC (Merchant Aircraft Carrier) was simply a merchant ship with a flight deck, and it carried six planes. The CVEs (ecsort carriers) used by the US and Britain carried less than 30 planes. US and Japanese Fleet carriers held 70-80 planes. British fleet carriers were about the same size as their US and Japanese counterparts, but they were designed differently, and they held only about 40-50 planes.
80-90 planes ww2 fleet us carriers
I know the United States has 9 aircraft carriers. Rest of the world??
There is no air craft carrier in Canada.
The USN permanently lost: 1. Battleships USS Arizona, USS Utah, and USS Oklahoma. 2. Aircraft Carriers USS Lexington (at Coral Sea); USS Yorktown (at Midway); USS Hornet (at Santa Cruz Islands); USS Wasp (at Guadalcanal). 3. LIGHT Aircraft Carrier USS Princeton. 4. Six CVE's, Escort Carriers aka "Jeep Carriers."
Japan lost four aircraft carriers, the USN, One, The Yorktown as I recall. It was the first major Naval battle fought entirely in the air!
25 US CV Fleet Carriers (3 didnt see action) 78 CVE Escort (Jeep) 9 CVL Light The US had 8 CV Fleet carriers built before the war

There are aircraft carriers all over the world. America has about 16 of various types. Many other countries also have aircraft carriers.

About 69
None. Unfortunately, for the Japanese, there were no aircraft carriers docked at Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack.
one
Even if you exclude the smaller aircraft carriers in World War 2, there were still many more than 5 or 6. The US Navy commissioned 23 aircraft carriers of the Essex class during the war, not to mention others in US service, and those used by the British and Japanese navies.
