Best Answer

Any two lines can only have one point of intersection. Unless they are parallel, in which case they do not intersect at all. If they are the same line, then they intersect at an infinite number of points.

They're skew lines, they don't interesect at all. So, they have zero points of intersection.

Are skew lines in the same plane?

No. Skew lines must be in different planes. Skew lines have no common points (they never cross).

What are lines that have no points in common and don't cross?

Parallel lines or skew lines

What are Lines that are neither concurrent nor skew are?

parallel

Can segments and rays be skew lines if they lie in skew lines?

They can be, and are, "skew". If they are not lines, they cannot be "skew lines".

Real world examples of skew lines?

given a room with 4 walls Line 1: The line that is the intersection of the floor and the west wall Line 2: The line that is the intersection of the ceiling and the north wall Lines 1 & 2 are skew. they never touch yet they are not in the same plane.

When are two lines in intersecting planes skew?

Each line can either intersect the edge which is common to the two planes at some point or be parallel to it. If the two lines intersect the edge, but at different points, then the lines are skew. If only one of the lines intersects the edge, then again the lines are skew. If neither of them intersect, then the two lines are parallel to the same edge and so they are parallel to one another so not skew.

Do lines that skew intersect?

No. Skew lines do not intersect

Do skew lines always intersect?

Skew lines never intersect. If two lines intersect, then they are known as "intersecting lines", not skew lines.

How many skew lines in a hexagon?

8

What are skew lines?

skew lines are noncoplanar lines, which means they aren't parallel and they also don't intersect skew lines do not intersect and are not coplanar

Two lines with no point of intersection?

There are actually 2 answers to this question. First, if they are in the same plane they are parallel. Second, if they are in different planes they are skew.

Are parallel lines also called skew lines?

No. Skew lines are lines in different planes that are parallel.
