WUSB54GC Wireless-G is designed to provide wireless connectivity to a single computer. It's a tiny USB device you'd attach to a laptop or desktop
To make setup easy, choose a network adapter made by the same vendor that made your wireless router. For example, if you find a good price on a Linksys router, choose a Linksys network adapter to go with it. To make shopping even easier, buy a bundle, such as those available from Linksys, Actiontec, D-Link, Netgear, Microsoft, and Buffalo. If you have a desktop computer, make sure that you have an available USB port where you can plug in the wireless network adapter. If you don't have any open USB ports, buy a USB hub to add additional ports.
iPads do have usb ports. You just have to buy an adapter

Linksys is used by most small bussiness. You should purchase a router with enough ports to allow for expansion.
Not all USB mice will work with an adapter. If it did not originally ship with an adapter, that you lost and are now replacing, then odds are it will not work. A USB hub adding more USB ports may be a better solution.
The only parallel to USB adapter I've seen is one which allows you to hook up a parallel printer to a USB port on the computer. You could not use that manner to create USB ports.

Only external traffic that is destined for specific internal ports is permitted. All other traffic is denied.
Linksys makes networking products, ranging from routers, switches, ports, and multiplexers. Their products are targeted towards home and small business buyers.
plug the ethernet cable into a 'router'. there will be several ports on the router to direct signal to each computer - usually four ports on a typical D-Link or Linksys router.
In general a switch is better than a hub because it doesn't repeat signals to all of the ports (and thus reduces collisions).
