It has 2 ports at the front
only 2 usb ports on the front
The first PS3 had 4 USB ports and they were backward compatible all the Fat PS3 with 2 USB ports lack both the hardware and the software to play PS2 games. The PS3 slim also does not have this feature, but it was lost more than a year before the PS3 slim was released back in 2008 and even in November 2007 for the 40 GB model YES as long as the ps3 is not the ps3 SLIM because the people who buit the ps3 SLIM did not do it but on the NOT SLIM ps3 you can feel free to do so. Totally untrue
Not something the PS3 slim can do and most Fat PS3 can not either unless they were the earliest models with the 4 USB ports
It has 4 USB ports on it and is not the 20GB or 60GB PS3 1st Generation model. 3rd and later generations only have 2 USB ports on them and no card reader. The 4th Generation Model is the PS3 slim model
Yes and No depending what ps3 model you have! If it has 2 usb ports it can only play ps1 games. If you have the ps3 slim it can't play any ps2 games no matter how many GB it has. Any ps3 can play ps1 games! ps1 and ps2 games can be saved on to the ps3 As long as you have the memory card adapter. You can only save ps2 games on the 20gb and 60gb and 80gb which have 4 usb ports! You can save ps1 games on any ps3 even on the slim.
No the PS3 slim and the Slim 2 released in May 2010 do not play PS2 games. Neither did the generation of PS3 before the PS3 slim. Only the older first and second generation PS3 consoles with 4 USB ports played PS2 games with Backward Compatibility. see related links
Not a PS3 slim or most of the Fat PS3 models. There were some PS3s with Flash Readers and 4 USB ports that could play some titles
Not any PS3 made for the Past few years. Early models with 4 USB ports could play some PS2 titles. The PS3 Slim does not play PS2 games and all of the Fat PS3 with 2 USB ports do not play PS2 games.
