A jet goes faster than a propeller (prop) driven airplane. It therefore travels further. It can also fly higher, there's less vibration, prop blades won't fall off in flight and slice through the fuselage, and you can't walk into the prop. Before you laugh, google that; many people have done it and most don't survive. They walk into tail rotors too, which is one of the big reasons modern helis have the tail rotor mounted high up.
3. Prop-er-ly
On prop driven aircraft the torque created by the engine, along with other forces, creates a left turning tendency. The pilot must compensate for this by adding right rudder. Keep in mind that on US prop built aircraft the prop turns clockwise (as seen from the cockpit) and the prop torque is as stated above. However, on many European designed aircraft, the prop turns counter clockwise and therefore, the prop torque produces a right turning tendency.
Nope. All of Southwest's flights are 737-300s, 737-500s, 737-700 (the most common) or a 737-800.
