7 protons , 8 neutrons and 7 electrons in the neutral atom.

Nitrogen has an atomic number of 7. The atomic number is the number of protons in the nucleus. In the neutral atom this is also the number of electrons . The "15" in nitrogen-15 is the mass number, the total number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus. Taking 7 from 15 there are therefore 8 neutrons in nitrogen-15.
