to give you an idea, a gallon of water which is 4 quarts weighs roughly 8 pounds. Although a tomato is mostly water, there is some other factors there as well. If i would guess i would say all eight quarts ( 2 gallons) weighs between 16 and 18 pounds
There are no collective nouns for tomato yet. But use it in the way that fits the way you are talking to someone. For example Box, Bunch, Group, Basket etc.
For Liquid conversion of Litres to Quarts: Multiply Liters by 1.057, but for dry measures (like berries) multiply Litres by .906.

I bought 30lbs of beets to pickle and had the same issue: my Mum's recipe calls for a 6 quart basket. Turns out 1 10lb bag is equal to about 5 quarts.

As regards volume measure, there are right at about 37 1/4 quarts in a bushel. Note that this is a "straight conversion" from bushels to quarts. Any processing of the beans will mean "less quarts" in your finished product. Stemmed and cut beans "pack" more tightly than those just picked and tossed into that big basket.
