I have a 1989 Southwind made by Fleetwood with a 454 Chevy engine and according to all my information I have in the books is that it takes 6 quarts without filter and 7 quarts with a filter. Sometimes someone may have put in the wrong dip stick and it won't read correctly. But that is what the owners manual says in mine. Mikey

Advertised Horsepower is : 240 HP @ 4000 RPMS The only information I can find is a 1973 454 truck engine. Nothing in 1972
