One
Each state may have at least one representative. California is the state with the most representatives with 53. Law states that there will be no more than 435 representatives in the house.
2
It is two for every state, no matter what. However, in the House of Representatives, it varies based on population.
The number of representatives each state gets in the House of Representatives is determined by the population of that state. This is based on the decennial (every 10 years) census conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau. The more populous a state is, the more representatives it has in the House.
There are 438 Representatives in the House based on the population of the state. There are also two Senators that represent each state.
population
It depends. Every state's number of representatives is proportional to the population of the state.
In the house of representatives there are 435 members. Unlike the senate that has 2 members for each state in the house some states may only have 1 representative while others have 18 or more. The amount each state has depends on its population, after each census the number of representatives for each state is adjusted.
The number of representative in the U.S. House of Representatives is fixed at 435. Every 10 years the U.S. Census Bureau takes a census of the population in each state. The 435 representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives is then reapportioned among the 50 states based on the population in each state.
Each state is entitled to one of the 435 representatives in the US House of Representatives, regardless of the state's population. The other 385 representatives are apportioned according to each's state's population as a percentage of the total US population, determined by the most recent census. This is known as "proportional representation."
