who ever had ask this question is abit silly because you have to use then see how much it will cost or do not ask this question because it is hurts us restaurants owners. The question is not so silly. I have researched this and it is a difficult question to answer because restaurant water usage will vary according to size, number of plumbing fixtures, what water saving devices they have in place, etc. I did find one article stating that an average restaurant uses 5,800 gallons of water per day which translates into over 2 million gallons per year. Water is a precious commodity and should be saved. I don't think the question was asked to hurt restaurants at all but were I a restaurant owner, I would seek out all available water conserving products not only to reduce water consumption but also to offset the rising costs of water. Water consumption rates are on the rise and one statistic I read stated water rates/costs have increased 27% over the past 5 years in the USA with no sign of abating. These costs will only rise. Some areas of the USA have experienced water rate increases in one year of over 20%. Hope this helps...watersaver
McDonalds employ staff to clean almost every day. Infact the staff keep cleaning the floor and tables every 15min as the crowd leaves the restaurant
"Covers per day" means the amount of people served in a restaurant, cafe or catering business. For instance, a business might serve 60 people food and drink over lunch. This would be 60 "covers" during lunchtime service. They may then serve 100 people for dinner. So the total covers per day equals 160 covers.
Total sales divided by the total number of covers done per day
Not really if they are serious about their weight loss. You may be surprised by the wonderful dishes at a certain restaurant you have been to, but the staff there see them every day, so they are less likely to be tempted by the food.

If you own a restaurant business, then you should pay attention to the tips that your server staff receives. If your server staff has a tendency to receive very large tips, then you may be able to pay them lower amounts of cash. In addition, servers will then be responsible for reporting their tips to the government as income. This can relieve your restaurant business of a lot of stress in financially supporting the server staff. Accounting software can help your business keep track of all the tips a server staff earns in a given day. Simply make sure that a server staff enters its tip data every day.
