No studies have been done on this
Yes! Why not? I got homework on summer, spring, and winter break! (ID whatever number was me, but I wasn't logged in.) XD
Because the educational system is designed to make you fail. Do you get money back from school if you fail a class because you were overwhelmed with homework even during vacation time such as spring break? I think not.
No studies have been done on this, but most schools do give out homework.
Anywhere you find schools is going to have homework.
Most schools give homework -- that way, the kids can all go home earlier instead of staying at school until everybody finishes all the work.
There aren't any studies of how much homework different schools give, sorry
That would be impossible to calculate.Teachers usually vary in giving their students homework. When teachers are usually in a bad mood,or punishing, or frankly, have nothing better to do,they usually give their students homework on Friday. My teachers never gave us homework on Fridays because they know how it felt.
Some schools do and some don't
Yes it is legal to give homework over any holiday break. You are not required to do the actual work during a time you are religiously prohibited but you are expected to have it completed somehow by the due date.
Well that is pretty much up to the school. I mean most do but I know there is one near where i live that doesn't give out homework. But if you really think about it, homework is there to help us improve, to make us the best version of ourselves. Without it, you would probably need to work a whole lot harder! the only problem i have with homework, is when teachers give you heaps! for me it sucks having heaps of things on after school and getting homework plus assignments from each teacher! i think something needs to be done about that. especially when you get heaps in the holidays. so in answer to your question, Do schools have to give out homework, they don't have to, but they know that it significantly benefits the students. Try "Summit"! A short-lived candybar. Probably cause of the bad advertising.
It depends on the student. You have more homework than schools used to give out, but you also have the internet to look up that homework, while before students had to drive to the library to do their assignments.
