All colleges and universities in the United States which are on the "semester credit hour" system (which is most of them) have two (2) semesters per calendar year; plus, usually, one to three (typically two... but it depends on the school) summer sessions.
A typical full-time college student takes 15 semester credit hours per semester, and no courses during the summer sessions (unless s/he's trying to graduate early or something)...
...or 12 semester credit hours per semester, plus 6 semester credit hours during the summer sessions...
...in either case, the goal being to accumulate 30 semester credit hours during the calendar year. Unless the student does that, then s/he cannot graduate in four years (which requires 120 semester credit hours for the entire bachelors degee).
I believe College of DuPage is only a two-year college. You can only receive Associates degrees and Certificates.

A four year degree (bachelors) can range between 120 and 128 credits depending on the specific program of study, and on the college or university requirements. The degree as a full-time student takes approximately eight semesters to complete. So, you can do the math and understand how many semesters 300 hours could be. I hope you do not plan on spending that many semesters getting your degree. With that many semesters you could attain a doctorate.A four year degree (bachelors) can range between 120 and 128 credits depending on the specific program of study, and on the college or university requirements. 180 in most states.if you mean college, 4 months to a semester, 2 semesters a year.
During regular sessions, there are normally two (fall and spring) semesters of 15 to 18 weeks each college year. Most colleges also offer summer sessions which are the equivalent of a full semester of work. Some colleges offer two summer sessions, so conceivably, you could complete four semesters per year by attending all available sessions. (Not a lot of fun!) Good luck.
The semesters at El Paso Community College start at different times each year. For 2014, the first semester began on May 26th.

It doesn't matter how many semesters your in college. If you are working on either an associates or bachelor's degree, you are an undergraduate student. When you are pursing a master's or doctorate degree, you are considered a graduate student.
