There are two slots that can hold up to 1GB each in the Dell Optiplex GX260. It takes DDR PC2700 or DDR PC3200. I found out at crucial.com. It is the direct outlet for Micron Technology. My PC used to have 128mb. I added 1GB. The time it takes from my PC to bootup dropped from 3-4 minutes to 30 seconds. The web Surfing speed increased, too. Crucial can scan your PC and make recommendations. The price and quality can't be beat. It's a good place to buy memory. http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=OptiPlex%20GX260%20Series
