It can probably hold around 600 songs. It depends on how many pictues, videos, recordings, and things like that, they take up memory too!
get a new battery
The song capacity of the SanDisk 8GB Sansa Fuze is said to be 2000 songs, while I would expect it would be comparable to other 8GB players which claim a song capacity of around 1750, based on 4 minutes per song (which could explain the variation in capacity claims).
well each gig can hold about 100-150 songs so in that case it can hold around 500 songs. But the sansa clip is a really high quality mp3 so this is a good choice of an mp3 player
On the right side, you will see a slide; one side says 'hold' and the other is a power symbol. Slide the little slider thing up until it comes on.
There are a number of reasons, but one thing that especially worked for me was holding the power button up for at least 10-15 seconds; it's like holding it to turn it off, but you just hold it longer. The reason for this is that the Sansa Fuze has a nasty habit of freezing, and when it does that when the screen is dark, it looks like it's off. All you need to do is force a shut-down, then simply turn it on. Another thing you can do is to simply plug it in to a power source.
250
About 4100 # of gigs times 256 = approx # of songs
The battery currently in your Sansa will eventually die - it will no longer be able to hold a charge for a reasonable period of time, or at all. Once it dies, you would replace it with a replacement battery.
it can hold 500 songs on it.
my ipod can hold up to 3000 songs
Is the wall charger providing enough amperage? It should supply at least 600 mA. If so, verify that the Sansa Express is displaying the charge indicator when connected to the adapter. If it is, probably either the Sansa Express's battery is too old to hold a charge (it should last for about 400 charge cycles), or there's something wrong with the Sansa's internal circuitry. If it isn't, there may be something wrong with the wall charger.
A 16GB ipod can hold 3,600 songs
