I use one space, some computers will put and extra little space in between sentences automatically to make it clear it is separate. Some computers or rather word processors will not allow you to have two spaces or say that it is grammatically incorrect to have two. I have done a lot of research and there is no specifically correct answer because there is no supporting evidence that using either is better or worse. It is all opinion. I use one because I was taught that way. I believe, however, that it does not matter if you use one or the other. You may come across the person who has a strong belief in one of the two, then I would do it their way. Other than that, do it the way you want.

Hope this helps

In APA format, there should be one space between words and after punctuation marks at the end of a sentence. This is a recent update in the APA 7th edition guidelines, moving away from the previous requirement of two spaces after a period.

For an APA formatted paper, you will maintain double-spacing between paragraphs. This can be accomplished by opening your "paragraph" tab in Microsoft Word, clicking on "double" and also checking the box that states "Do not add extra space between paragraphs of the same type."
