The Pacific Coast of the United States is made up of the coastlines of the states that border the Pacific Ocean: California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska. It generally refers to the first three. Many other countries, and the State of Hawai'i, have Pacific Coasts as well.
There are 14 states that border the east coast of the United States.

Pacific Coast Hotels are located in many different areas. Despite their name, they can be found all over the United States and in a few other countries. They got their name from their start on the Pacific coast of the United States.

The main states on the Pacific coast of the United States are Washington, Oregon, and California. Alaska's islands (Aleutians) define the arm of the Pacific called the Bering Sea. Hawaii is debatable because it is an island in the Pacific (i.e. it is all Pacific shoreline).
