on my bottle it says to take 9 tablets a day, this seemed like a lot to me- what are others taking? Why are you taking it? And was is the dosage?
Yeast cells produce by budding and each bud leaves a "scar" on the original cell.
1 teaspoon= about 4 grams so 8 grams= 2 teaspoons
When two organisms are notably dissimilar, such as a cow and a yeast, we can safely conclude that they are very distantly related. Organisms that are more similar to each other, such as a cow and a deer, are more closely related to each other.
yep
Testing the effect of different sugars on yeast fermentation can be a very good experiment. You will need the following materials: 2 liter bottles, packets of dry active yeast, different sugars (like sucrose{table sugar}, fructose, substitution sweetener lactose{milk sugar},and dextrose balloons, and of course, water. Add the amount of water instructed on the yeast to every 2liter bottle. then measure the same amount of sugar for each bottle. place a balloon on the top of each bottle and let them sit for at least ten minutes. then measure the circumference of the balloons and compare. to make completely scientific do at least three times and average results. To further extend add salt to each sugar solution to see if it makes any difference. Hope I helped:)
600,000 tablets times 110 μg NaF per tablet is 66,000,000 μg NaF = 66,000 mg = 66 g NaF
Different strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae produce different proportions of carbon dioxide and alcohol. Baker's yeast is a blend of several strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae chosen for their flavor and ability to make carbon dioxide, which causes bread to rise. Brewer's yeast is made of strains chosen for their alcohol-producing ability and tends to have a bitter flavor. Brewer's yeast is considered an inactive yeast while baker's yeast is an active yeast. In an active yeast the yeast cells are still alive, whereas they are killed in the process of making inactive yeasts, like brewer's yeast.
Short Answer: Yes Long Answer: Brandy is a distilled spirit. Making it involves fermentation (using yeast) then distillation to raise the alcohol concentration. I currently use active dry yeast for fermenation as a base for distillation because it has a longer shelf life than fresh yeast. Be aware that there are many different strains of Bakers/Brewers Yeast (Saccharomyces Cerevisiae) and each has slightly different characteristics. All have the ability to convert simple sugars into ethanol & CO2 - their individual suitability to produce good plum brandy is less assured.
Lard is not needed to make yeast bread. You can make excellent bread with just yeast, flour, water, and salt for flavoring. If your recipe calls for shortening or butter, substitute the same amount of lard for each. (Except for brushing the tops of the dough; butter or egg wash still works best for that.)

Over one million women in the United States develop vaginal yeast infections each year.
One pack of dry yeast is equivalent of 2 and a quarter teaspoons of yeast. There are 3-teaspoons in 1-tablespoon, so each pack of yeast contains 3/4 of a tablespoon of yeast.
