The number of tanks in a Panzer division was about 270 at the year of 1940, lowering to 180 in 1941 (before barbarossa), and ending the war with only 100 to 150 tanks in 1944.

Usually they had one "Panzer Regiment" with two battalions, each with four companies of 23 tanks, aproximately.

There is no set number of tanks for an armored division. A division is defined as the smallest combined arms unit able to conduct independent operations, so a range from 1-3 tanks is quite feasible.
