It is 2/5 of one teaspoon (so less than 1 teaspoonful) to give correct dose, you will need an oral syringe (preferably) or a medicine spoon. you should be able to get either one for free where you got the medicine if it was a prescription. or for very little if you have to buy one at any drug or grocery store.

Get it and get out of the shop. Go south. You should see a healer. Give her the bottle and she will give you medicine. Go to the lumberjacks house. Talk to Katy and then go talk to the lumberjack. Give him the medicine. Get out of the house and beat the Invectids . Then go back to where you first saw Magma. Than go northeast. Go inside the Inn. Talk to Magma. Go outside. Then go southwest. Beat grasshop. then go into the forest and you should see a big monster. Beat it and you beat the mission.
Give it to them inside a water bottle. Hang the bottle on the side of the cage with a metal hook that you should be able to purchase with the water bottle.
