They only have four grinding teeth. When these get worn out by the rough vegetation the elephants eat, they are replaced by the larger teeth in the back of the jaw. (the 2 tucks are teeth as well though though they are not used to eat)
:-)Elephants have 12 molar teeth:-)

African elephants are listed as 'vulnerable' and the Asian elephant is classified as 'endangered' by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.Sadly there are only 2 species of Elephants in the world because of humans have been killing them. 1-An elephant is the largest land animal. 2-African elephants have large ears. 3-Indian elephants have small ears. 4-Female elephants share turns watching over all the baby elephants. 5-Elephants have great memories.
There are 3 species of elephants: African, African Forest & Asian, also called Indian Elephants. Through adaptation and evolution they are physically different. The African Forest & Asian Elephants are smaller, have smaller ears, and have a different, higher number of toenails (5 front/4 hind)than do the African Elephants that are larger, taller; have larger ears to help them stay cool in drier, very hot, open spaces; and have with a smaller number of toenails (4/3 hind). Tusks (straighter versus arched plus size) and the roundness of their backs are also different.
Pythons have 4 rows of teeth on the top and 2 rows of teeth on the bottom. Pythons do not have fangs.
They look like other elephants except that their tusks point downward and are straighter than those of the African Bush Elephant (to prevent getting caught on the dense jungle vegetation), they have more rounded ears, and they are slightly smaller than the African Bush Elephant. They also have a different number of toenails (bush elephants have 4 on the front foot and 3 on the back, and forest elephants have 5 on the front foot and 4 on the back).
Yes they doYes, elephants have toes. The Asian elephants have 5 toes and African elephants have 4 toes.
Yes, because a patella is another word for a kneecap. An elephant has four legs, and each leg has a knee. Elephants stomp when they walk, and sleep standing up.
