A squid's beak doesn't have any teeth at all, in fact they are used to pry open shellfish and so on. They can drill through hard shells of prey. It is powerful enough to break human bone.

How do vampire squid kill there pray?

I suppose like many squid once the squid has caught it's prey it's forcefully makes it enter the mouth were a 'beak' begins to chop at it until it is fully eaten. Then bones and un-digestable parts are regurgitated. Not much is actually known about their hunting and killing methods. It is known that their usual prey are Copepods, prawns and Cnidaria. Large creatures such as whales and seals are known to feed upon the vampire squid in turn

Do penguins regurgitate their food?
