• Central Time
• Mountain Time
• Pacific Time

A distinction could also be made between Standard time and Daylight Savings time. Since not every community makes use of DST -- for example, the entire state of Arizona -- one could consider there being as many as 8 potential time zones in the continental US.

And that doesn't even throw Alaska Time and Hawaiian Standard Time into the mix! (For the record, Hawaii is another state that forgoes the use of DST as well).
