I guess it depends how many cats you have.
Like if you have one cat then maybe you should clean it three or twice a week
or if you have five maybe everyday?

∙ 12y agoonce a week... clean it twice a day not replacing litter... but when changing litter every week you prevent mold or bacteria from growing
** I agree I would definitely scoop the litter everyday. What you may also want to do is when you do change the entire litter clean the box out w/ warm water and use a gentle and non-harmful detergent like( ivory mild & gentle) dish-washing detergent It doesn't have a strong chemical smell ( I use this on my cats litter box). But make sure to rinse the detergent off good. This kills any bacteria or pee smell before you replenish it w/ fresh litter. Hope this helps. :)***
