You hear wrong! If you were right, there would be far fewer attorneys in the United States. As things currently stand, we lead the world in lawyers per capita. And that's nothing to be proud of.

He never failed, passed on first attempt, was ranked 76 out of class of 85. Not a stellar ranking. Only worked in law and property management about three years. The rest is all politics.

Biden would be in good company among his Democratic political friends, as Kamala Harris, Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton each failed the bar exam the first time they took it, something that only about 1 in 4 lawyers manages to do.

It could be that he took a break and did something else after law school, before he took the bar exam. I'm a lawyer in nc and that's what I did.
