I have always fed my adult pugs twice a day. While many people feed their dogs only once a day, I have found that feeding them half the recommended daily amount twice a day helps prevent stomach upset, and is easier on the pancreas, too. And, since they get a few little treats throughout the day, they don't go hungry at all.

A pug puppy should eat 4 times a day up to 4mths of age when he can go down to 3 feeds a day, the quantity should be approx 400 grams per day TOTAL of wet food, If he is still hungry he could have a little more. At 7 months he can start adult food (this contains less protein) and then you will need to start monitoring his weight as pugs tend to overeat. Every dog is different but I usually let my small puppies eat as much as they like as puppies should be a little podgy :) An Adult pug should eat between 100 to 150 grams of wet food morning and evening depending on the amount of exercise he gets. If he seems over weight this can be reduced slightly.

I feed my two poodles which are a small standard and now a teacup size, the Eukanuba brand. My small standard gets two cups a day and my new puppy gets a teaspoon three to four times a day. They also receive plain yogurt.
