believe in Jesus! believe that he died for you and if you believe him, pray and ask for forgiveness by praying, he will forgive you and more your going to be close to him. in John 3:16, it says: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life!
isn't that amazing?
The whole of The Bible is actually about this so every book in some sense witnesses to this reality but not so clearly in the Old Testament except in the books of the Prophets. The reason is that Jesus is Heaven- in him we live and move and have our being. Therefore there is no heaven without Jesus. No one comes to the father except by Jesus- he Is the way the truth and the life. He is the good shepherd. He is the door of the sheep. He is the bread that sustains life. Heaven is not necessarily in any sense a physical place at all - it is a relationship with God through Jesus. Try reading the Gospel of John and see how on every page it speaks about this.
