I think it turns up every 88 years or so...... I know the last time it came around I saw somethig of it.....but when that was I cannot remember !
Halleys comet comes back around every 76 years.
Halley's Comet was seen in April 1066, just before the Battle of Hastings in October of that year. It was considered an omen by many, including the Anglo-Saxons and the Normans.
Yes, there are many comets other than Halley's comet. Comets are icy bodies that orbit the Sun and often have elongated orbits that bring them close to the Sun. Some well-known comets include Hale-Bopp, Comet NEOWISE, and Comet Lovejoy.
Yes. The surface of Mars is littered with craters from such impacts. In fact, every planet in the solar system has been hit by a comet... not just once, but many, many times!
Yes, it is possible for a comet to be visible from Earth more than once if it has a return orbit. Some comets have orbital periods that bring them back around and make them visible multiple times in a human lifetime.
Yes, there are many comets that have been seen by people.
Twice; 1910 and 1986.
your scrodom gets kissed
Halley's Comet was observed and recorded many times in many places around the world. Sir Edmond Halley demonstrated that the repeated sightings were of the same object, the comet that now bears his name.
Once or twice a day but make it small
Depends on the comet.
No it won't. It will be seen from Earth, but it will be a long way from Earth, so it poses no danger to us. You can see many things in the sky at night that are a very long way away. Right now Halley's Comet is too far away to see, but when it is close enough to see, it will still be a very long way from Earth in 2061, just like it was when it was seen in 1986 and in 1910 and other previous occasions that it has been seen from Earth.
