The amount of times a lobster molts can change depending on its age. When they are young they will do it often, but once they have grown into full size it will not be as many times.

The world record lobster was 44.3 pounds, similar sized lobsters can get 5 feet long, but those lobsters were only halfway thru lobster maximum lifespan of 100. They never stop growing. Lobster larvae are close to microscopic, but I have never heard of full grown lobsters being microscopic.
