This all depends which Daniel is meant:

Daniel a son of David once in 1 Chronicles 3:1

Daniel an Israelite who renewed the covenant after the exile is mentioned twice in Ezra 8:2 and Nehemiah 10:6

The most well known Daniel, the major prophet, is also known as Belteshazzar, the Babylonian name he was given when he was taken there as a captive.

As Daniel he is mentioned 2 times in the New Testament (Matthew 24:15, Mark 13:14) and in the Old Testament he is mentioned 76 times as Daniel and 10 times as Belteshazzar.
