The founding father of the Chinese church - James Hudson Taylor - put it this way ," My prayers are never longer than a half-an hour and I am rarely without prayer for more that half an hour "
To understand this more clearly it is the relationship with God that matters to me and not the " religious performance " that counts.
AlwaysLuke 18:1IThessalonians 5:17Pray Without ceasing
And, if Jesus has done anything at all for us, and is indeed Lord of our lives then there is no reason why not - especially as the Spirit of God lives in the believer. Prayer is as natural as breathing and is not like some pious religious exercise done to please God, but an act of love, submission and gratitude, as well as dependance. It can be done anytime and anyplace.
The Bible tells us to pray always.
This doesn't mean literally always being on your knees with your head bowed, but thinking of God often and talk to him in our minds throughout the day, asking for his help and guidance.
_____
How much or how often you should pray is a personal matter... think of it as a personal opinion since it's your personal, religious devotion.
For example, you may pray once a day; a Muslim, however, may tell you she/he prays five times a day. That doesn't mean you don't pray enough though!
If you have faith & trust in your prayer, it is always a good thing.
There are no rules setting out how many times a day Christians must pray. Most Christians will pray when they get up, before meals and at night. On other occasions they may pray more in the day and if they are going to any services they will pray at those.
This is an easy one, St. Paul tells us explicitly in 1 Thessalonians to pray constantly:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA) 16 Always rejoice. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In all things give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you all.
And you are asking how do I pray constantly and without ceasing? I have a life to live. Well, answering that question is what shows that you are a Christian. First of all you must realize that the ONLY reason we are here on this earth is to get to heaven - that's it. The second thing to realize is that prayer is not just reciting words.
St. Teresa of Avila is very good on this in her book The Way of Perfection and The Interior Castle. The prayer of beginners is meditation, but as we grow closer to God, and as we become more perfect we grow into the prayer of contemplation, and eventually, God willing we receive Infused Contemplation - a gift from God. At this stage you are praying continually, it is a dual awareness so that you can still go work, take care of the children, and cook dinner, but you are constantly aware of God and praying. This involves a total giving up of your life to God, a reordering of your priorities, but God, who is faithful, will accomplish miracles if we let Him.
0. You don't have to say any prayers to get to heaven. You just have to believe in Jesus. :)
as many times as they want to, there is no set amount or time when or where
depends on your religion
Christians can pray whenever and wherever they want. There is no set time or number of times to pray
The Muslim Italians pray 5 times a day like other Muslims every where. Christian Italians pray as Christians everywhere.
There is not a set number of times that a Christian must pray. Christians can freely pray (Prayer to Christians is not done in the same way as other religions; there is no ceremonial ritual that must be performed) whenever they want to.
If you meant the New WORLD Translation. Variants of the word 'pray; prayed; praying; prayer; prays; prayers' are approx 300 times.
