For the most part,budgies are very cleans animals.In fact,all birds are pretty clean.But when you do want to clean your parakeet,I would suggest a few sprays with a small spray bottle.Mine love love water.Its especially nice during a hot summer to cool them off.

∙ 12y agoIt's not a good idea to let your parakeet swim, as their bodies aren't meant for that, but what I do is use a mist bottle that gently mists your parakeet's feathers. It cools them down and makes them healthy. Be sure not to spray enough to soak your parakeet's feathers.
