There's no way to really know. Unless you hold an online poll but The Vampire Diaries is an older book having come out in 1991 but back then it was a New York Times Best Seller, as is Twilight. Whereas Twilight is more recent. In my opinion The Vampire Diaries is way better than Twilight (don't hate me, it's just my opinion) I hope this answers your question Second person- I really think vampire diaries is better. But I'm sure that some other people will choose Twilight because it is more recent and I'm sure not all of them read Vampire diaries.

1864 in the TV show and in the 15th century in the books.
Although the book series isnt over so anything could change. Elena chooses Stefan, however she also loves Damon, and kisses him many times
The time Vampire Diaries comes on depends on the season and whether new or old episodes are being aired. Also there is a spin off of the Vampire Diaries called the originals. Check your local TV guide for times and channels.

"Vampire Diaries" used to air on The CW network. The show has ended, so it is no longer playing on television. However, you can check streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video to watch past episodes.

Stefan doesn't die in any of the books but he has been captured and kidnapped many times in the book the Struggle and the Return volume one and two.
Bella's eyes were red at first but then they turned golden after feeding multiple times.
No. But Dracula was a character that most accurately depicted folklore vampires, apart from Camilla, that I know of. Vampire mythology has been around for millennia, even ancient times!
